How do I clean and maintain my Tamorya bottle?
For regular cleaning, rinse with clean water after each use and dry completely before sealing. Once a week, clean the inside with a mixture of lemon juice and salt — rub it along the interior, let it sit for two minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water. This removes any oxidation buildup and restores the copper's natural sheen. Avoid dishwashers, harsh chemical cleaners, or steel wool.
My bottle looks darker inside. Is that normal?
Yes, completely. Copper naturally oxidises over time when exposed to water and air. This is called patina and is a sign of genuine pure copper. It does not affect the safety or function of the bottle. The lemon and salt cleaning method described above will restore the original colour if preferred. Some customers choose to keep the patina as it gives the bottle character.

After each use, rinse the bottle with clean water and allow it to air dry with the lid off. This prevents moisture from sitting at the base and keeps the interior fresh.
Weekly Deep Clean
Once a week, rub the interior with a paste of fresh lemon juice and coarse salt. Let it sit for two minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. This is the most effective and natural way to remove oxidation.
What to Avoid
Do not store juices, carbonated drinks, or dairy inside the bottle. Avoid dishwashers and harsh chemical cleaners. Do not use steel wool or abrasive scrubbers on the interior or exterior surface.
Long-Term Preservation
Store the bottle upright with the lid loosely placed when not in use for extended periods. If you see significant darkening inside, a lemon-salt clean will restore it. Copper improves in character with care, not without it.
